Kloster Chiropractic Receives Five Star Service Award

KANSAS CITY, KS  August 19, 2007 Dr. Steven A. Kloster, wife Janet, and staff Winnelle Kennedy and Brandi Roland of  Kloster Chiropractic were recently honored with Integrity Management’s prestigious Five Star Quality Service Award.

The Five Star Quality Service Award was recently developed by Integrity Management as a means of promoting and publicizing superior chiropractic clinics that excel in patient treatment, customer service and professionalism.  Clinics must go through an extensive examination and are graded on things such as punctuality, patient communication, equipment, the quality of services provided and patient satisfaction in order to even qualify for the award.  The Five Star Quality Service Award was established to provide a uniform grading system that rates quality in chiropractic clinics across the country. Just as five star hotels are synonymous with quality service, five star clinics ensure patients they will receive quality care.
Kloster Chiropractic was one of only a few clinics chosen among approximately 60,000 chiropractic clinics across the country to receive this distinction.

“The Five Star Quality Service Award is a great honor,” remarked Integrity Management’s CEO, Keith Maule.  “We established a very strict criteria to qualify for this award and Kloster Chiropractic excelled in every area.  They are a great example to look to for quality care.”
Kloster Chiropractic is located at 717 E. Second St.,  Smith Center, Ks and is open Monday through Friday noon.

Dr. Steven and Janet Kloster recently attended the annual convention of the Christian Chiropractic Association July 18-22, 2007.  The meeting was held in Welches, Oregon at the Resort on the Mountain.  The CCA was founded in 1953 on the campus of Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, IA. as an off-shoot of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.  The goals of  the CCA are to evangelize the profession, send chiropractors on short-term mission trips, and to support chiropractors full-time on the mission field.  There are over 1100 members in the CCA.

Convention highlights included Bible speaker Dr. John Day who spoke Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning on Crying for Justice: What the Psalms Teach Us about Mercy and Vengeance in an Age of Terrorism.  The group took a jet boat tour of the historic Willamette River in Portland and toured the Mt. Hood area.

Several missionaries shared about their experiences in different countries and everyone was inspired by their service and dedication.  Dr. Kloster has been to Jamaica three times and Janet twice for a weeks mission trip.  The team visits public schools, orphanages, schools for the deaf, and holds free clinics in churches.

At the closing Awards Banquet, Janet was recognized as the 2007 Spouse of the Year.  This award is given by the CCA Auxiliary “In recognition of her faithfulness as a follower of Christ, her commitment to her husband as he fulfills his calling to the Chiropractic profession, and her support of and participation in the ministries of the Christian Chiropractic Association.”

“Being married to the spouse of the year puts a little extra pressure on me to be on my best behavior”, said Dr. Kloster with a grin.  “I hope I’m up to it!”

Dr. Kloster was re-elected to serve another term on the Board of Directors of the CCA.  He has served on the board since 2001.
